Senator changes his plea
It seems that Idaho Senator Larry Craig (Rep) is changing his plea.
Back on June 11th, Senator Craig was arrested at the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport on a misdemearnor disorderly conduct charge. The arrest was made after he supposedly tried to engage in lewd behaviour with an undercover cop in the men's bathroom. When he appeared in court on August 8th, he pleaded guilty. However, he is now saying that he is not guilty and only pleaded that way in order to deal with it quickly. Also, he states that he did not get legal counsel, a mistake which he now regrets. Question: Would you plead guilty to a crime that you did not commit? For more on this story, check out: Idaho Senator Arrested in Airport |
