Forbes' Top 10 Political Pundits

Forbes magazine just put out their “Top 10” Most Influential Pundits in America list. Not only was I surprised by the finalists, I was more surprised by who was not listed. As per Forbes, they used the dictionary meaning of the word “pundit” in order to figure out who should be reviewed for this list. However they want to put it, this list is ridiculous. Can anyone say “media bias”?

For a quick look at the list, check out: Hot Air » Blog Archive » Apocalypse now: Forbes names American’s top ten most influential pundits

Re: Forbes' Top 10 Political Pundits

Pundit
1. a learned person, expert, or authority.
2. a person who makes comments or judgments, esp. in an authoritative manner; critic or commentator.

Influence:
1. the capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others

Influential is a person capable of exerting influence onto others.

1. Roger Ebert
2. Bill Maher
3. Bill O’Reilly
4. Al Franken
5. Geraldo Rivera
6. Rosie O’Donnell
7. Leonard Maltin
8. Greta Van Susteren
9. Lou Dobbs
10. Bill Walton

I am going to hold back some of the feelings I'm having right now, but I think you can make your own assessments if you use the definitions above and apply them to this list. Then put them in the context of 'most'...meaning these are it...in the entire country...'most'.

What has Forbes done with their reputation...anyone, Bueller?
