It looks like the DNC will cancel their next presidential debate. It was supposed to be on CBS with Katie Couric as the moderator.

Apparently there is a writer's strike and the candidates did not want to be seen as "crossing the picket line".

Why do you need writers for a presidential debate anyways?

They need writers so that they can take the complicated issues facing the nation and put them in terms that Democratic candidates can understand.
